DESCRIPTION:The PhD Program «Society & Choice» of the Faculty of Psycholo
 gy of the University of Basel is celebrating its 10th Anniversary.\\r\\nJo
 in us for a special event on September 12th at the Kleines Klingental Muse
 um in Basel from 18:15 – 20:00.\\r\\nThe event will feature a ceremonial
  address by Prof. Dr. Rainer Greifeneder and Prof. Dr. Jörg Rieskamp and 
 a keynote speech and Bernoulli Lecture on «Encouraging Climate Action» b
 y Prof. Dr. Linda Steg (University of Groningen\, the Netherlands). The ta
 lks are followed by an Apéro. \\r\\nAbstract: Climate change is caused 
 by human behaviour and can thus be reduced when people would more consiste
 ntly engage in climate actions. I will discuss which factors motivate clim
 ate actions. Moreover\, I explain why people may not always engage in clim
 ate actions\, and how consistent climate actions can be promoted.  \\r\\n
