Inger Salling Price for Psychiatry 2020
Prof. Andrew Gloster receives a price from the Inger Salling Foundation for his work in the field of anthropological and psychotherapeutic psychiatry, specifically in the development and dissemination of Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and its translation into successful psychotherapy, particularly in its use with patients who had not previously responded to other forms of psychotherapy. The purpose of the Inger Salling Foundation, based in Lucerne, Switzerland, is to provide an annual award for excellence in clinical and experimental research, including in the field of psychiatry. The acknowledgement for the prize as well the presentation of Prof. Gloster's work can be viewed under the title «How does psychotherapy help in the absence of treatment success?» (German).
