The Faculty of Psychology considers career advancements and the safeguarding and further expansion of gender and diversity-related equal opportunities to be an important and central component of the faculty culture. The aim is to ensure that the structures and the organizational and academic culture are consistently free of discrimination, equality-oriented and family-friendly and to significantly increase the proportion of women at the various qualification levels. This goal is implemented in organization, teaching, career advancements and research through measures that can be summarized as visibility, self-evidence and assurance.

The Faculty of Psychology's Gender Equality Plan includes both faculty goals and measures as well as offers from the University of Basel's Diversity Office, with regular exchanges between the Faculty of Psychology's Diversity Representative and the Diversity Office ensuring coordination and further development.
