The Functional Assessment of Relationships (FAR) is a self-report questionnaire designed to measure various functional areas of interpersonal relationships. The first questionnaire section covers the following aspects of relationships:

• Areas of Life
• Importance
• Frequency
• Quality of contact
• Availability
• Reciprocity
• Active Participation
• Desire to change

The second section of the questionnaire further inquires in detail the relationship with a person who is most important to you. The FAR is context sensitive and relates the questions to your experiences of the last 4 weeks.
