The Department of Youth Mental Health, headed by Prof. Dr. Ines Mürner-Lavanchy, is dedicated to research and teaching in the field of clinical child and adolescent psychology.

Children and adolescents are faced with the challenge of taking their developmental steps in an environment of constant social change. More and more children and adolescents are reporting problems with their mental health.

With our research, we want to contribute to a better understanding of the development of mental disorders in order to create a basis for innovative prevention. With our teaching, we support future professionals who are dedicated to the mental health of our children and adolescents in a variety of professional fields.
