Emma Jones MSc

My goal is to help you make changes in your everyday life so as to gain comfort and curiosity in your potential life experience. My attention is on behaviors and thoughts which modify your perception, making you feel uncomfortable and possibly close doors for yourself. My focus during psychotherapy is on here and now, and looking into the future. Some experiential approaches need practicing and might mean making changes in between sessions. I like to consider psychotherapy as a rowing boat, which we board together: I bring the provisions, and you are the expert navigator. We must sync our rowing so as to move safely and discover the best way forward, all the time being mindful of the unpredictable river. Our common goal is our guide. I am Swiss/British national and have first hand experiences of being home abroad.

Marnie Reed MSc

My training is in clinical psychology, with a therapeutic orientation in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. Originally from Australia, I have lived and worked in London, Asia and Switzerland and have an understanding of the unique challenges that living abroad can bring. I enjoy working with children, teenagers, adults and families.
Individual treatment plans are central to my work and I take a flexible approach to working with clients so that they can effectively meet their own goals. Sessions are collaborative, goal-orientated and often take a problem-solving approach, using only evidenced-based methods. The focus is on identifying unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and learning skills and strategies to overcome these.
I strive to understand my clients as human beings with unique challenges, histories, families, environments, and personalities. From this understanding we can create a strong working alliance, and most importantly, an opportunity for change. I believe in empowering my clients to make long-term positive changes so that they can live fulfilling lives in-line with their personal values and goals.

Prof. Dr. Jens Gaab

It is paramount to me to get in contact with the person, so that I have a chance to establish a mutual understanding of how the problems came about, what they mean for the other person and how they affect the other persons life. From this shared perspective, pragmatic steps to change are taken and I see me role as fascilitating, encouraging as well as supporting these processes. The starting point always are the abilities and the preferences of the client, which form and influence the path taken towards change. I take great care that my clients know and understand what I am doing and also, why I do what I do. My own experience and behaviour is based on my practical expertise and my knowledge of scientific findings and models and shaped by the ongoing exchange and discussion with colleagues. I see me role and mandate in providing an understanding, empathetic and valueing context and to truly show myself as the person I am.
