Master's thesis

At the YMH division, we regularly offer master's theses as part of our research projects. An overview of all current research projects can be found under Research. At the Faculty of Psychology, students are expected to attend a master's project in addition to their master's thesis. The master's project at YMH can include the development, planning and/or implementation of a research project in collaboration with the research team. This can include tasks such as literature research, recruitment, testing and data preparation. In addition, the YMH Master's colloquium is attended during two semesters. In both semesters, students present the current status of their own master's thesis and actively contribute to and discuss presentations by other students.

Assignment of master's theses

Master's theses are assigned exclusively via the Mastermatch. Students can inspect the subjects offered in CW 42 to 45 for the spring semester and in CW 12 to 15 for the fall semester. From CW 46 to 50 and CW 16 to 30, the Master's thesis topics are allocated via the Mastermatch.

Students interested in master's theses at YMH should send their statement of motivation and CV to the supervisor by the end of CW 44 or 14. If there is more interest than available places, students will be selected on the basis of their motivation and suitability for the project and then asked to submit a request via Mastermatch.

Guidelines on Mastermatch can be found here: https: //psychologie.unibas.ch/de/studium/masterstudium-sto24/health-interventions/
