Invitation to the 10th anniversary of the PhD program / Bernoulli Lecture 2024

The PhD Program «Society & Choice» of the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Basel is celebrating its 10th Anniversary.

Join us for a special event on September 12th at the Kleines Klingental Museum in Basel from 18:15 – 20:00.

The event will feature a ceremonial address by Prof. Dr. Rainer Greifeneder and Prof. Dr. Jörg Rieskamp and a keynote speech and Bernoulli Lecture on «Encouraging Climate Action» by Prof. Dr. Linda Steg (University of Groningen, the Netherlands).
The talks are followed by an Apéro.

Abstract: Climate change is caused by human behaviour and can thus be reduced when people would more consistently engage in climate actions. I will discuss which factors motivate climate actions. Moreover, I explain why people may not always engage in climate actions, and how consistent climate actions can be promoted.

We look forward to celebrating this milestone with you!

Prof. Dr. Ulf Hahnel

(on behalf of the Society & Choice PhD Program)
