Michelle is a PhD student at the University of Basel and a member of the Centre for Digital Lives. After studying Psychology at the University of Limerick and completing a Master’s degree in Applied Data Science at Utrecht University, she developed a strong interest in understanding how digital media shapes social life. Her research examines how social media use influences social relationships and feelings of social connection in everyday life, with a particular focus on capturing the complexity of these processes through theory-driven work and experience sampling methods.
