About me

Zahra joined the Psychology of Sustainability and Behavior Change Lab as a PhD student in November 2022. She studies information processing in the domain of climate change and conducts experimental, cross-cultural and longitudinal research on selective attention to climate change related information and belief updating in the light of new information. Her research interests also include polarization of climate change beliefs, sustainable food choices, sensitivity to climate externalities and behavioral modeling.

Zahra studied Psychology at the University of Heidelberg, University of Cologne, Monash University (Melbourne, Australia) and UC Berkeley (U.S). Prior to her doctoral studies, she worked at the University Hospital in Tübingen (Germany).
