The Faculty of Psychology considers the safeguarding and further expansion of gender and diversity-related equal opportunities and inclusion as an essential and central component of its faculty culture. The aim is to shape structures as well as the organizational and academic culture so that they are consistently discrimination-free, equality-oriented and family-friendly, and to increase the proportion of women at the various qualification levels in a noticeable way. This goal is implemented in organization, teaching, early-career support and research through measures that can be grouped under the themes of visibility, self-evidence, and assurance. The Faculty's equality plan includes both faculty-specific objectives and measures as well as services offered by the Diversity Office of the University of Basel. Regular exchanges between the Faculty’s Diversity Officer and the Diversity Office ensure coordination and further development. The Faculty of Psychology recognizes the importance of conducting its scientific and academic activities sustainably, taking responsibility for reducingCO2 emissions and supporting strategic planning. Accordingly, the Faculty has set a goal to reduce flight-related CO2 emissions by 50%.
