The Faculty of Psychology provides its members with a wide range of IT services for research, teaching and administration. Please complete the relevant applications if required.

Data storage

Apply for online storage

Network shares can be shared for the processing and storage of data and documents via the SMB protocol and/or via NFS (Network File System). Data can be accessed from client computers as well as from virtual machines (VM). Supported operating systems are macOS, Linux and Windows.

Virtual machines are offered for research projects, simulation and modelling, database and application development and web applications. more

IT Medium

IT resources and workplace equipment

There is an application form for IT equipment (telephones, computers, software, etc.) for the workplace. The form has to be completed by the PI or department secretary. Please submit the application at least two weeks before the start of employment to ensure that the required IT resources are provided in time.

Can I keep my laptop after I leave the university?

No, unfortunately this is not possible. Exceptions are possible in justified cases. Possible reasons include the coordination of an externally funded research project or the completion of a publication. Lending after leaving is limited to 6 months.
