To increase login security, the IT services of the Faculty of Psychology require a second login factor in addition to the password.
Ideally, an existing 2FA app, e.g. Microsoft Authenticator, should be used for this purpose.
Set-up procedure using Microsoft Authenticator as an example:
| Install the Microsoft Authenticatorapp on the smartphone (if not already available). |
| Log into an IT service of the faculty with the faculty account / password | Faculty of Psychology. |
| When prompted, scan the displayed QR code using the "Scan QR code" button in Microsoft Authenticator |
Enter/confirm the displayed code on the website |
If the second factor has been left "at home", the two-factor verification can be temporarily(!) activated by e-mail after consultation and clear identification with the IT department of the Faculty of Psychology.
