From the fall semester 2024, you can take the oral Master's examination in the Statistics & Data Science department. You will soon find the specialization literature for our department on the homepage of the faculty under "Studies".

Arrangement of the special topic: Please contact us by e-mail at least 4 weeks before the exam to agree on the special topic and the four original papers from peer-reviewed journals. For this purpose, please send us (a) the original papers as references with APA formatting and (b) the original papers as PDF files. The original papers should be from the field of "Statistics & Data Science" or offer the opportunity to critically discuss the statistical models used in the articles. After we have confirmed the selection of the original papers, please send us a one-page summary of each article in a PDF document up to three weeks before the examination. In the first approx. 10 minutes of the exam, you will present and discuss your special topic.

Foundations: In the fall semester 2024, the basic literature will include social, economic and cognitive and decision psychology. From the spring semester 2025, the basic literature will also include the area of Statistics & Data Science. Please inform yourself about the literature on the faculty's homepage in good time. The basic literature is typically covered and discussed for approx. 10 minutes after the special topic.

Specialization: The specialization literature from the field of Statistics & Data Science will be announced in good time on the faculty's homepage. The in-depth literature will be dealt with and discussed in the last approx. 10 minutes of the exam.
