In the latter case, will carry out your own simulation study and investigate the properties of statistical models that you learned about in your bachelor's studies.

Master seminars

We offer master seminars on various topics: Understanding and interpreting statistics, machine learning models, simulation studies. More information here and soon in the course directories.

M.Sc. thesis

From spring semester 2025 we offer Master's projects/theses. Here you will evaluate a statistical model (e.g. machine learning model, multilevel model, psychometric model) using a simulation study in R.

master exam

Master's examination

From HS 2024 you can take the oral Master's examination in the "Statistics & Data Science" department. Here you can find more information about the exam in our department.

Colloquium

Colloquium

In the colloquium we discuss new developments in Statistics & Data Science from the research areas of the department (Machine Learning, Multilevel Modeling, Psychometrics). We read and discuss research articles together, or have presentations by Master/PhD students or external guests.
