About me
I am currently a PhD student at the Centre for Social Psychology at the University of Basel, which I joined in December 2022 as a part of the team working on Swiss Science Foundation grant. My research focuses on the broader context of real-life ostracism in Europe, specifically investigating which sociodemographic groups are most vulnerable to ostracism and how experiences of being ignored or excluded influence voting behaviors. To this end, I am analyzing data from the European Social Survey and conducting experiments.
My passion for this topic is grounded in my previous education, which includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Sociology from the Comparative Social Research program. Beyond ostracism, I am also interested in conspiracy beliefs, system justification, and dehumanization. I'm fascinated by empirical research methods, like incorporating Bayesian analysis into psychological studies and open science practices, which I hope to utilize throughout my dissertation and future research endeavors.
