I am a social psychologist investigating moral and social behaviour in the broadest sense, including trust and cooperation, prosocial actions, environmental behaviour, and much more! Beyond research, I am passionate about science communication, and I am available as a speaker for events or workshops (English or French).

My current line of research focuses on trust, more specifically on what happens when trust is betrayed (building, losing, and restoring trust). I explore this question through an experimental approach, building paradigms to investigate trust in everyday life but also in the lab. Nothing gets me more excited than designing a new study and thinking of ways to assess trust and understand better how it develops!

I am fascinated by many different aspects of our social life, and in my research, I have investigated topics such as social influence and group processes, personality and perception of the future, social comparison and performance, as well as how much people care about and want to act for the environment.

I was a research assistant and PhD student at the University of Geneva in 2013-2019. I obtained my PhD in Social Psychology from the Universities of Geneva and Lausanne in January 2019 under the guidance of Prof. Juan M. Falomir-Pichastor. Additionally, I served as a teaching assistant at the Swiss Distance University Institute (2013-2021). In 2016, I participated in the first Swiss edition of Three-Minute Thesis, earning the first prize at the qualification round of the University of Geneva (video in French).

After graduation, I joined the Centre for the Study of Group Processes at University of Kent, where I served as a Postdoctoral research associate (2019-2021). During this period, I collaborated with Prof. Dominic Abrams and other members of the CSGP on various projects. When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, we secured funding from the Nuffield Foundation to conduct a longitudinal project assessing changes in societal cohesion in the UK during the pandemic, named “Beyond Us and Them”. This project delved into the interconnected phenomena of attitudes towards government measures, political trust, interpersonal trust, normative influence, volunteering, perceptions of the future, emotions, collective action, social cohesion programmes, and more.

I then joined the Centre of Social Psychology at the University of Basel, first as a Postdoctoral research associate (2021-2022) then as a Senior Postdoc (2022-2023). In 2023, I received an Ambizione grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) to lead a research project on the topic of interpersonal trust, which I currently pursue (2024-2027).

Looking forward, I see myself leading exciting research as well as sharing what I’ve learned. Teaching is something I am excited about, and I am eager to develop new collaborative projects tackling always more fascinating questions!
