Dr Katharina “Kate” Repnik is a psycholinguist and research associate in the DaZ-V project at the University of Basel. There, she researches the effectiveness of early German language support.

Beyond this work, she examines how language development and language use relate to attention, neurodivergence (e.g., ADHD), and social belonging. In her research, she is particularly interested in how attentional profiles, self-regulation, and communicative dynamics influence language development, pragmatic communication, and participation in social contexts. She also has a particular interest in gender differences in the research and perception of neurodivergent profiles, especially among girls and women.

Alongside her academic work, she runs a coaching and consulting practice for women with ADHD under the name Unfold with Kate. Her approach is informed by humanistic, body-oriented, and Gestalt psychotherapeutic principles. She is expected to complete her training as a Gestalt therapist in 2026.
