Lukas joined the PSBC lab as a PhD candidate in September 2023. He is working within the EU-funded DIAMOND project, which aims to improve various Integrated Assessment Models (IAMs) and make them more comparable. Furthermore, the integration of psychological variables is supposed to improve the modeling of human decisions in these models. Besides his research focus on psychological determinants of environmentally protective behavior and the role of attitudes in this realm, Lukas is interested in the psychometrically sound assessment of psychological constructs as a prerequisite for valid interpretations of results.

Lukas studied psychology at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt, the Technical University Darmstadt, and the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg where his studies already focused on environmental psychology.
