Effects of animal-assisted therapy on therapists’ motivation
This study explores how integrating animals into therapy affects therapist motivation compared to traditional therapy practices. It also assesses therapist satisfaction, emotional burden, organizational challenges, stress during sessions, therapeutic alliance with patients, and mood. By focusing on therapists, it fills a gap in the literature and contributes to understanding the potential of AAT in the "One Health" context. Additionally, it refines relationships within the therapeutic triad, helping to understand the feasibility and optimal conditions for AAT.
