Dear Bachelor & Master students, Are you curious, open-minded, and enthusiastic about learning the basics of entrepreneurship, gaining the tools to develop innovative venture ideas for the future, and making a meaningful impact? Or just curious to develop your entrepreneurial competences for your future career?

Join our new course Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship starting 24th of September!

The course provides a comprehensive understanding of entrepreneurship, developing your mindset, and competencies to create impact. It fosters creativity and innovation, empowering you to develop venture ideas with the necessary knowledge and skills, crucial for careers in startups, industry, and academia. You can join the course with your own venture idea or without!

What will you gain?

  • You will explore venture ideas, discuss practical applications, and understand key topics in entrepreneurship such as idea development, business plan creation, financing, customer insights
  • Crucial competencies such as leadership, problem-solving, team building, and creativity

Practical Information:

  • This is an evening course, taking place every Tuesday from 16:30 – 19:30 pm (Sep 24 – Dec 3)
  • Location: Home of the Innovation Office, at the Pupella Innovation Garage, Kreuzstrasse 4, 4123 Allschwil

ECT credits and registration:

  • Application deadline: September 10th 2024.
  1. This is a masters’ course, and no prerequisites are required. Upon successful completion of this course, students receive 3 ECTS. Students are responsible for checking whether the ECTS of this course are credited to their study program. The number of participants is limited (max. 25) and participants will be selected based on their “application”. Interested students should email Anna-Elina Pekonen (annaelina.pekonen@clutterunibas.ch) before September 10, 2024. Please include:
    1. your name, study major, number of completed semesters, and matriculation number,
    2. your knowledge/background in entrepreneurship,
    3. a short motivation statement explaining why you are interested in participating,
    4. and if you have a business idea, give us a short description.
    5. Please check if ECTS from this course will be accepted by your faculty.
    6. We will select participants and confirm 25 participants on September 12, 2024. After confirmation email, you can enroll through the Online Services (services.unibas.ch).

Eucor-Students and mobility students of other Swiss Universities or the FHNW first have to register at the University of Basel BEFORE the start of the course and receive their login data by post (e-mail address of the University of Basel).
