Transfaculty Research Platform Molecular and Cognitive Neurosciences

The Transfaculty Research Platform Molecular and Cognitive Neurosciences (MCN) has the distinction of being the first transfaculty endeavour of the University of Basel and has developed into a thriving hub for neuroscience-oriented psychological and psychiatric research. MCN focuses on the molecular, neurobiological and neural underpinnings of human emotional and cognitive processes and the development of novel treatment options for neuropsychiatric disorders.

Neuroscience Network Basel

The Neuroscience Network Basel (NNB) is a center of competence of the University of Basel. The objective of the NNB is the coordination, the support and the promotion of research and teaching of Neurosciences atthe University of Basel and the affiliated institutes and organizational units. Its central aims are: „Explore function - Understand dysfunction – Improve diagnosis and treatment“. The NNB follows a focused strategy from the bench, to the desk, to healthy populations and to the bedside.

Bernoulli Network for the Behavioral Sciences

The Bernoulli Network for the Behavioral Sciences is a joint initiative of the Faculty of Psychology and the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Basel, with the aim of fostering interdisciplinary dialogue in the behavioral sciences. The initiative honours the polymath Daniel Bernoulli (1700-1782) who contributed greatly to conceptions of probability and risk that are central to Psychology, Economics, and related disciplines.
